Freight Handlers (Forklift Licence) | Brisbane Airport

Programmed is currently recruiting Freight Handlers with a Forklift (LF) Licence to join our client at Brisbane Airport.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast-paced aviation freight environment, handling everything from general cargo and parcels to live animals and specialised freight for one of Australia's leading airline freight operations.

About the Role

As a Freight Handler, you'll work across both Domestic and International Freight operations, helping ensure freight is safely and efficiently moved through the warehouse and onto aircraft.

No two days are the same—you could be handling anything from luggage and parcels to machinery and even live animals.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Loading and unloading aircraft freight containers
• Sorting, scanning and weighing freight
• Operating forklifts, aircraft tugs and warehouse equipment
• Moving freight throughout the warehouse safely and efficiently
• Completing freight documentation using warehouse systems
• Manual handling of freight
• Following all Workplace Health & Safety procedures
• Working collaboratively within a supportive team environment

About You

To be successful, you'll have:

• A current LF Forklift Licence – no experience required, onsite training provided!
• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Previous experience in a warehouse or freight environment (preferred)
• Recent experience in a manual handling role
• A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Pre-Employment Requirements

Successful applicants must be able to:

• Pass a pre-employment medical, including Drug & Alcohol testing (Drug & Alcohol test cost of approximately $100 is reimbursed after your first week on site)
• Obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) (Approximate cost of $350, reimbursed after your first week on site)
